The Women Sustainability Leader / Green Impact Award recognises inspiring women who are driving sustainability and environmental progress across industries, governments, and communities. These women lead by example in addressing climate change, resource conservation, and eco-innovation, making significant contributions to building a greener and more sustainable future.
ELIGIBILITY
Open to women-identifying leaders in sustainability, climate action, or green innovation
Includes professionals in environmental science, ESG, renewable energy, corporate sustainability, or conservation
Minimum 3–5 years of verifiable work in sustainability initiatives or eco-policy advocacy
Can be from corporate, non-profit, academic, or government sectors
Judging Criteria
Environmental Impact: Measurable reduction of carbon footprint, waste, or pollution
Leadership: Pioneering sustainability within organisations or communities
Innovation: New ideas, tech, or models in green practices
Advocacy & Education: Promoting environmental awareness or policy change
QUALITATIVE CRITERIA
Visionary thinking in circular economy, ESG, or green infrastructure
Strong communication and advocacy skills
Implementation of sustainable supply chains or net-zero strategies
Support and mentorship for women in environmental careers
METRICS
Emissions reduction or resource savings (energy, water, waste)
Size of projects (e.g., acres reforested, megawatts of renewable energy deployed)
Certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, ISO 14001)
Stakeholder/community engagement outcomes
ADDITIONAL CRITERIA
Work must show lasting or scalable impact
May include founders of green start-ups or NGOs
Open to team leads or solo contributors
Initiatives should be active within the last 2 years
