The Women in Social Impact / Changemaker Award recognises a woman who has made a powerful and measurable difference in her community or society through impactful initiatives, advocacy, or social entrepreneurship. This award honours women who are passionate changemakers, working to solve social, cultural, environmental, or economic challenges—whether through grassroots efforts, nonprofit work, or purpose-driven businesses. These leaders inspire collective action and advocate for positive transformation on both local and global scales.
ELIGIBILITY
Open to women-identifying individuals involved in social impact work (nonprofits, activism, policy, social enterprise, etc.)
Must demonstrate clear outcomes or progress in addressing a social challenge or community issue
Can include founders, activists, program directors, or community leaders
Activities may be voluntary, professional, or entrepreneurial in nature
Judging Criteria
Purpose & Passion: Clear vision and long-term commitment to social causes
Impact: Tangible and meaningful outcomes (reach, change, awareness, policy shifts)
Innovation: Creative and original solutions to long-standing issues
Sustainability: Long-term viability and scalability of the initiative
QUALITATIVE CRITERIA
Ability to mobilise communities or inspire movements
Demonstrates empathy, equity, and inclusive leadership
Resilience in overcoming barriers or resistance
Builds partnerships and collaborations for collective good
METRICS
Number of people impacted or communities served
Policies influenced, funds raised, or programs delivered
Media coverage, speaking engagements, or public recognitions
Testimonials from beneficiaries or collaborators
Volunteer hours or team growth under her leadership
ADDITIONAL CRITERIA
The initiative must have been operational for at least 1 year
Impact should be clearly documented and measurable
Nominee must be actively involved in the ongoing efforts or leadership
